Clare Feeney

Clare has 25 years experience in environmental management in the government and private sectors. As well as professional speaking and writing, her work includes:

  • integrated catchment management planning and monitoring of policy effectiveness across all four wellbeings (social, cultural, economic and environmental)
  • urban sustainability: low impact urban design and development and urban water cycle management, including living infrastructure
  • professional development and practical training for businesses, regulators and community interests on topics including saving money by reducing waste for manufacturers, stream bank restoration for farmers, industrial pollution prevention and environmental compliance for businesses; erosion and sediment control on earthworks sites and onsite wastewater systems
  • developing and evaluating technical and educational strategies
  • lecturing to senior and Masters students on sustainability and resource efficiency
  • technical editing and production of web pages, posters and interactive online training.

Susie Wood

Susie has worked as a sustainability and environmental consultant for over 25 years. Her current focus is an integrated water and land management and organisational sustainability, including :

  • integrated land and water management – assessing the effects/risks of human uses and development on the four well beings (social, cultural, environmental and economic)
  • contributing towards right mix of policies, methods and implementation strategies to promote the health of the four well beings
  • monitoring and evaluating the effectiveness of policies, programmes and projects against objectives and outcomes
  • organisational sustainability: working with organisations to create a tailor-made strategies and programmes, leading them onto the road towards sustainability at an appropriate pace and scale
  • risk management – identifying, evaluating and managing risks
  • stakeholder engagement, consultation and capacity-building.
  • professional development and practical training on topics including environmental awareness and compliance, assessment of environmental effects, principles of sustainability, organisational sustainability, environmental management systems, risk management, hazardous substances and waste, etc.
